Microsoft is expanding its Frontier programme so that early-access features across Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint and Copilot are all managed through a single enrolment. Previously, preview access was more scattered across different products. Admins control who's enrolled, and it sits separately from the standard and deferred release channels most organisations already use. The expanded programme is due to go generally available in November 2026.
What this means for your business
If you're the kind of business that likes to try new features before they roll out to everyone, this makes life a bit simpler: one place to manage it rather than hunting across different settings. It's worth knowing that enrolment is optional and admin-controlled, so there's no risk of staff accidentally opting themselves in. Something to revisit with us closer to the November 2026 launch date.
