Edge gets a right-click option to fill saved passwords

Microsoft Edge is getting a small but useful change to how saved passwords work. At the moment, if the browser doesn't automatically suggest a saved password on a login page, users often have to dig into their password manager manually or copy credentials themselves. From November 2026, right-clicking on a username or password field will show a 'Select Password' option, letting users pick the right credentials without leaving the page. No settings need changing, and any password policies you already have in place will carry on working as they are.

What this means for your business

For your staff, this just means fewer frustrating moments when autofill doesn't kick in. It's particularly handy on sites that block autofill or use non-standard login forms, which is more common than you'd think. No action needed on your end, it'll roll out automatically.
