Microsoft has patched a vulnerability in the Chromium-based version of Edge that could let an attacker bypass security controls over a network. The root cause is that Edge's list of blocked inputs wasn't complete, leaving a gap that could be exploited remotely. No authentication is needed for an attacker to take advantage of it.
What this means for your business
If your staff use Edge as their main browser, you'll want to make sure it's been updated as soon as possible. Most managed devices will pick up the patch automatically, but it's worth confirming with your IT team that Edge is on the latest version. Given how much browser-based work goes on day to day, leaving this one unpatched isn't worth the risk.
